CCA Description
The NCC (Land) Singapore curriculum is anchored in the Cadet Strong framework (Resilient Mind, Fit Body, Committed Heart), seamlessly integrating Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) and 21st Century Competencies (21CC) to nurture future-ready leaders and active citizens.
Military Readiness & Adaptive Thinking: Cadets master foundational Army skills—including Individual Field Craft (IFC), orienteering, and SAR 21 marksmanship—which hone Critical, Adaptive, and Inventive Thinking alongside situational Self-Management and Responsible Decision-Making.
Adventure & Leadership Development: Experiential platforms such as Camp FORGE and Camp STEEL build physical ruggedness, Resilience, and core values of Integrity and Uprightness. Progressive leadership roles within the unit strengthen socio-emotional competencies in Communication, Collaboration, and Relationship Management.
Land Defence & National Identity: Deeply rooted in its affiliation with the Singapore Army, NCC (Land) exposes cadets to land-based operational knowledge, military heritage, and field training. This anchors their Civic Literacy, reinforces their Commitment to Singapore, and strengthens their National Identity as active citizens committed to Total Defence.
Excellence Through Competitions: Drill (Precision and Freestyle), marksmanship, and fitness challenges promote sportsmanship, discipline, and high-performance teamwork, instilling a strong citizenship disposition. Values in Action (VIA) & Social Responsibility: Cadets engage in community service and VIA initiatives to demonstrate Care and Social Awareness, growing into concerned citizens devoted to serving the wider community.
